Our Music Holidays

19th June – 26th June 2012

SingingWorks is unique music holiday. It is the culmination of 3 skill sets: Singing, Physicality and Breath Bodywork. Matt (an actor who’s recent credits include the character of ‘Joey’ in the critically acclaimed West End production of War Horse), Témi (British Wheel of Yoga teacher and singer) and Alex (singer, singing teacher and director) met 20 years ago at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and have since collaborated on many projects both within education and production.

After a fantastically successful music holiday week last July, Robert is back with us in sunny Umbria for another instalment of sacred singing.

Former conductor of the London Chorus and the London Philharmonia Chorus, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and energy to this holiday week.

Not much beats Umbria in September. As the warm summer sun continues to kiss the skin, it’s an unexpected pleasure to find your hand back in the t-shirt draw.

In September 2012 Ben Saul returns for his 3rd year of Singing Holidays. Warm, ultra talented, cheeky and more fun than sucking out the contents of a helium balloon, Ben brings his own highly musical and creative expertise to a wonderful music holiday week of sacred singing.

21st Sept – 28th Sept 2012

If you’ve got a shell and you want to climb out of it in a way that’s both dignified and uplifting then this is the singing holiday for you. Billed as ‘Find Your Voice’, these 7 days of singing in Umbria are for the beginners amongst you who fancy a go at breaking out of the shower cubicle and dipping a toe in the deep end of the bathtub!

18th Dec – 23rd Dec 2012

In December 2012 the dream will become reality. We’re taking Singing Holidays to the Abruzzo for a very special 5 days of singing in the mountains.

We’ll be staying in unique and exceptional accommodation within the National Park, living in beautifully simple & extremely comfortable peasant houses where the only concession to authenticity is the underfloor heating and luxury bathrooms. We can live with that!

February 25th 2012THIS ACTIVITY HAS ENDED

On February 25th Singing Holidays is doing a Taster Day in London. It’s a whole day of Singing, Physicality and Breath BodyWork with Temi, Robert, Matt and Alex. Hopefully it will give you a sense of what we do on a full week in Italy and give you a laugh too in equal measure.

April 12th – April 16th 2012 THIS ACTIVITY HAS ENDED

We’ll be staying right in the centre of the old town at the convent of San Lodovico as guests of the lovely Suor Giovanna. We’ll be enjoying the best Italian food, the delicious local wine and singing mass and a short concert in one of the most important and impressive Cathedrals in Italy.
