Soul, funk & blues songstress Lizzie Deane has a deeply soulful voice that emulates the sweet melodic and raw belting lines associated with the classic divas. With her warm persona and infectious performance style Lizzie contemporises her musical influences, that include Aretha Franklin, James Brown, The Jacksons, Etta James, Stevie Wonder & Otis Reading.
Having performed and toured with many highly-acclaimed artists including Pee Wee Ellis & Fred Wesley (JB Horns), Carleen Anderson, Marcella Detroit, Martha High, Mica Paris, Kim Mazelle and Jocelyn Brown, as well as Boy George, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones and Just Jack, Lizzie Deane has a wealth of stage, TV, radio and session experience.
She has now stepped out of the shadows with her fabulous band, to rave performance and album reviews. Whilst retaining a strong individual style of her own, Lizzie has drawn comparisons to Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Lisa Stansfield and Joss Stone.
